Kendra
Plano Dentist Hygiene Team Kendra is a Native Texan,  born in McKinney and was raised in Allen during her elementary education.  She moved to Anna her freshman year and graduated from Anna  High School in 1987.  Kendra didn't always dream of being a dental hygienist.  While in high school, she had hopes of becoming a fashion designer.  In study hall, she would design and draw clothes and shoes. Yes, shoes!

She fell in love and married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth.  In August 1987, Kenneth joined the Army and they moved to Ft. Sill, OK. for 3 years, then on to Ft. Hood, Tx. for 6 years.  While at Ft. Hood, Kendra was a Red Cross dental volunteer at several of the dental clinics on base.

During the year of volunteering, Kendra realized she wanted to pursue a career in dental hygiene.  Unfortunately, there were no hygiene programs less than 3 hours away.  Therefore, she enrolled in Texas State College in Waco (75 miles one way) to pursue her second choice-dental assisting.  She received her CDA credential in 1995 and has worked as a dental assistant for 7 years.  During those years, she had multi-task duties as business assistant, financial coordinator, and worked with dental insurance and claims.

In 1996, her husband decided to leave the Active Army and join the Army Reserves.  They moved their family back to "smalltown" Anna.  Kendra never gave up her dream to become a dental hygienist.  While raising a family, being an army wife, and working full time, Kendra decided to return to college in 2002.  She graduated with her Associates in Science in Dental Hygiene from Collin County Community College with honors in 2004.  Kendra joined the Imagecare family in January 2009. "I wanted to create a safe place and build strong rapport with patients.  I want children to laugh and enjoy their visits to the dentist," she says.  And she has done just that.  In her hygiene career, she has kept patients coming back with her understanding attitude, friendliness, gentleness, and patience.  She is passionate about educating her patients about overall health and the connection between the mouth and body.

It is clear that Kendra has a passion and love for both her job and her patients.  " I love my profession because it's a personally rewarding career.  The desire to help others and make changes to better their health is a great accomplishment."

Kendra and Kenneth have been married 20+ years and continue to live in Anna.

They have been blessed with 3 children Kaylee, Hunter, & Tanner.   Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family & friends.  She loves Friday night high school football, baseball, being outdoors, volunteering, reading, movies, and most of all SHOES!
