Cosmetic Bonding has the following benefits:
Types of Tooth Bonding
There are two types of dental bonding – transitional bonding and direct bonding. These can last up to 10 years, depending on the type and extent of teeth bonding. Direct dental bonding means placing tooth-colored composite restorations (fillings) on a single tooth or multiple teeth. This is done to restore function, size or shape – or even enhance the shade of your teeth.
Tooth Bonding Before & After
Dr. Thompson designed this patients smile with bonding to close spaces, add length and improve function.
Bonding is often uses in situations that are temporary in nature. Such as when a patient needs to do their dentistry in multiple phases. This happens when someone is doing a full mouth reconstruction, an adolescent waiting for a chipped tooth to mature before a veneer or crown, or to evaluate potential esthetic changes and bite function. Bonding can last for years and can be replaced by porcelain over time. Bonding is more affordable that porcelain.
